McWong’s TruBlu™ Bluetooth mesh Control Platform Receives DLC Certification

Sacramento, Calif. January 13, 2021—McWong International, a leading innovator in Bluetooth® mesh technology, has received notification from the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) that its TruBlu wireless mesh control platform has been qualified on DLC’s Networked Lighting Controls Qualified Products List (QPL).

DLC's Networked Lighting Controls QPL identifies systems that are eligible for utility rebates and incentives by meeting annually-updated performance and efficiency specifications. The QPL is designed to facilitate widespread market adoption of advanced technology by enabling energy providers to optimize energy savings and integrate control systems into their incentive programs.

The TruBlu platform offers robust control capabilities through a range of hardware devices, including microwave, ultrasonic and passive infrared occupancy and motion sensors; fixture controllers with single- and dual-channel control capabilities for light level and color tuning, photocell for daylight-responsive control, and wireless wall switches for manual override control. Feature-rich, the devices include robust performance ratings such as IP65 for outdoor environments, industry-standard low voltage connectors for easy installation, and numerous mounting options.

The platform features Bluetooth 5 compatibility for robust networking and communication capabilities combined with Bluetooth qualification for all devices for enhanced interoperability. The TruBlu web portal and app, powered by Silvair’s SIG-qualified software stack, provides convenient and user-friendly interfaces for project design, commissioning, and operation post-installation.

Stephen Zhou, McWong Vice President, notes, “We are proud to join the DLC Networked Lighting Control QPL with our TruBlu platform. This offering represents our unwavering commitment to the continuing development of advanced, interoperable wireless lighting infrastructure for the intelligent buildings of today and the future.”

McWong’s TruBlu offering is the largest DLC-qualified and Bluetooth-SIG qualified mesh control network available in the marketplace today.
